The complete cast has been announced for the world premiere of writer/director Richard Foreman’s Old-Fashioned Prostitutes (A True Romance), which begins preview performances at the Public Theater on April 30. The show will run through June 2, with an official opening night set for May 7.
The cast will include Alenka Kraigher as Suzie, Stephanie Hayes as Gabriella, Nicolas Norena as Michelin Man, Rocco Sisto as Samuel and David Skeist as Alfredo.
Old-Fashioned Prostitutes is described as “snapshots from an enigmatic fairy tale” and an “expressionistic chamber-play.” Foreman, whose history with the Public extends back to 1977, has come out of retirement to write, direct and design the show. The production also features costume design by Gabriel Berry and lighting by Yael Lubetzky.
